Music is an essential part of the human experience. Without it, life isn’t as colorful and exciting. The lessons aim to educate and prepare students for competitions, performance and a challenging music career.

Whether you’re beginning your first notes or preparing for advanced auditions, our faculty is committed to helping every student grow with confidence and artistry.

Zefeng (Michael) Fang

Dr. Zefeng (Michael) Fang is a Chinese-born violist and educator known for blending technical mastery with expressive musicianship. Holding a Doctor of Musical Arts from Michigan State University and trained by world-renowned violists, he has performed as principal and assistant principal with orchestras across the U.S. As founder of Fangtastic Music Studio, his students have earned top All-Region and All-State honors and admissions to prestigious institutions like Berklee College of Music. A dedicated member of the American Viola Society and Texas Music Educators Association, Dr. Fang is highly regarded as a performer, adjudicator, and mentor, committed to advancing both viola performance and education.

Niki Fukada

Niki Fukada is a California-born violinist whose training began at age seven and was later shaped by prestigious institutions such as The Crowden School and mentors from the San Francisco Conservatory. She pursued studies in Film and Violin Performance at Pepperdine University before completing both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Violin Performance at Southern Methodist University under renowned pedagogues. Active throughout the DFW area, she performs, teaches, and collaborates widely—sharing the stage with artists like Ed Sheeran, Luke Combs, and Laufey—while also appearing with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and The Dallas Opera. As a member of The Finestrung Quartet, she continues to champion her passion for chamber music and artistic collaboration.
